Dates are a blast, planning however is not. Below are five dating "categories" with ideas that I find to be a blast, or would love to try.
Breakfast Date: Whats more romantic than rolling out of bed in the morning and going to your all time favorite breakfast spot with the person you adore? I am a big breakfast person and would take a breakfast date over a dinner date any day! Some of my favorite spots include Coffee and Cream (RIP), Village Bean located in Chepachet RI, Eggs Up in Cumberland and T's Restaurant in Cranston if you're feeling a little bit more fancy (they have MIMOSAS!!!)
Dinner Date: This is your usual go to when you think of a date. As stated above I am more of a breakfast date kind of gal, but dinner is yummy too. Chelo's Waterfront Bar and Grille is a fun spot, that provides live entertainment. Blu on the Water is also a good "fancy" place for a nice dinner with your love. They have an outside bar, and the most amazing Sangria I have ever had. Plus the dessert was pretty bomb. Someone suggested Battleship Cove Restaurant which I have not tried yet, but maybe one day will! For a more laid back dinner date I am a UNO's and Chili's fan for life. It's your typical food but it is still yummy.
Ice Cream: THIS IS MY FAVORITE!! I will never turn down an ice cream date from anyone. Especially in the summer. There is nothing better than getting ice cream on a warm summer night. Josies in Cumberland is a cute little spot with a patio\deck area and also cute colorful chairs that make cute instagram posts (how basic I know). Ice Cream Barn in Swansea, MA might be a troop but their homemade waffle cones are well worth it. I am also a big fan of Purple Cow in Pawtucket\Seekonk, and the new The Wright Scoop in North Smithfield!
Anything Outdoors: Now that summer is here and we can stay outside without freezing our bums off, being by the water on a nice summer night would be a relaxing date night idea for you and your boo. Grab a blanket, maybe some IGGYs and hit the beach to watch the sunset (heart-eyes). Mini-Golf, and batting cages are a blast to do I haven't done either of those activities in a while but now I really want to! 146 still has a Drive in Movie theater which I find super cool. They have new movies out all the time and would be a great group date idea, or just you and your boo. Although I have never been on one, hiking sounds like a cool outdoorsy date idea, and I would love to try it out. Any type of park experience would be a fun date to have. Have a picnic, walk around, bring the dog and enjoy the outdoors!
Arcades and Bowling: Dave and Busters, as well as bowling are fun Friday night date ideas for you, your boo and a group of friends! Everyone loves a good Dave and Busters experience. The drinks are awesome and what's better than playing arcade games (possibly a little tipsy) with your significant other and friends? CW Lanes and Games in Lincoln is a blast with activities such as bowling, laser tag, and some arcade games (mainly for younger children but still fun). I enjoy bowling with the bumpers up because unfortunately I am no pro, but I kick ass at laser tag! The newest spot I have heard good things about is R1 Indoor Karting. You know the place with the Ax throwing area. That place looks like a blast and I will deff be trying the Ax throwing when baby boy is out of my belly!
