Overly Organized

A new mothers instinct is to nest when the time comes. My time has come! Over the past few weeks I have been gearing up for my baby boys arrival, and by gearing up I mean cleaning anything I can get my hands on, and organizing\re-organizing closets and dressers, not only in the nursery and my own bedroom, but also the kitchen.

All of baby boys clothes and accessories (socks, mittens, hats, binkies, etc.) have been careful washed, folded and stored into his dresser and closet. Diapers, creams, binkies, and small toys (rattles) for occupying baby boy during changes are neatly placed in his top left drawer of his dresser. All burp cloths and swaddles and neatly folded and stored (by color of course) in the draw next to the diapers, and then socks, mittens and hats are in the top right draw. Socks are organized by size and color (told you I have OCD), and mittens\hats are organized by color as well. Onesies are in a draw organized by themselves by size (up to three months) and color (plain white are together, plain color are together, ones with sayings on them). PJ's and sleep sacks are stored together, bath towels and wash cloths are stored together, and lastly pants and matching outfit sets are stored together.

I have a system; only newborn-3 month clothes got a spot in the dresser, while everything else is hung up (by size and color DUH) in his fully stocked closet. This way I have everything I need in a drawer, easily accessible at all times. I know where everything is, quiz me I dare you!

"B baby boy needs a blue pair of socks with grips on the bottom and also a new pair of blue bottoms"

Top right draw second cube next to the all white socks, and bottom left draw front row next to the matching sets.

It may have been slight overkill with all the organizing by size AND color. But it is more pleasing to look at an overly organized dresser and closet than a messy one, right?

Needless to say, if you need help organizing your closet call your girl B.
