Skin Care Routine

Since my early middle school days I have struggled with acne and texture on my face, mainly my chin. I tried so many Skin Care products and none of them truly worked for my sensitive skin. I would find something that worked for a little while, and then it would stop working and actually cause me to break out even more. Finally when I was in high school I went to see a Dermatologist for a rash I had developed on my face, and also to speak to him about my acne that seemed like it would never go away. I was prescribed a cream for my acne that worked wonders and I will swear by it day and night.
I waited a long time to see a specialist and now have acne scars from all of the acne I picked at growing up (not recommended leave your acne alone). Along with the cream that keeps new break-outs from appearing, I have now found a skin care brand and some other products that actually work for my sensitive skin.
Through YouTube channels and Social Media Influencers (shoutout to Whit Simmons), I have discovered (and fell in love with) the brand Tula. This brand is toxic free, as well as 100% natural, using what they call "superfoods" such as blueberries, turmeric, and Vitamin C to help nourish your skin. My favorite products from here are the Purifying face cleanser, the replenishing cleansing oil, the ultimate recovery mask, and also the aqua infused oil-free gel cream. In addition to these products I use the cream prescribed by my dermatologist, the Thayers Natural Remedies Witch Hazel Toner and just recently I started using a Watermelon sleeping mask from Ulta Beauty, because what is better than a mask that works while you sleep?
Morning Routine:
In the morning I mainly do the bare minimum. I wash my face with water and then use just the Thayers Natural Alcohol Free Toner (cucumber scent) on a cotton pad all over my face. This gets whatever oils and dirt formed on my face while I was getting my beauty rest. Next, I use my cream from my doctor on my problem areas; always my chin, and occasionally on my forehead, and then top it off with the Tula oil-Free gel cream to keep me moisturized throughout the day

Night Time Routine:
This is where all the fun happens. If I have any makeup on I remove that first with a make up wipe, or the Clinique Take The Day Off cleansing balm and then in the shower (which some people say not to do), or if I am not showering in the sink, I will wash my face with the Tula Cleansing Oil using my face brush. Next I take the Tula Purifying face cleanser and cleanse my face using just my hands. Once my face has been washed I take my cream apply it to my chin, and then nightly I will use the watermelon sleeping mask for hydration. In the winter time I use the Tula ultimate recovery mask when my skin is extremely dry.

I don't have the most flawless skin, but my "imperfections" (acne and redness) have gotten significantly better since using these products!
